Bank of Sharjah Review
The UAE’s First Bank – Still the Right Choice for Corporate & Private Clients?
Editor’s Verdict for Bank of Sharjah
Bank of Sharjah P.J.S.C. is the oldest bank in the emirate of Sharjah and the fifth bank ever established in the UAE, founded in 1973. Listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and headquartered on Al Khan Street in Sharjah, it has built its reputation around corporate banking, trade finance and private banking rather than mass-market retail. The network is deliberately compact: just six branches across Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, supported by the eBOS online and mobile banking platform. The bank also maintains an international presence through its subsidiary Emirates Lebanon Bank S.A.L.
